As you may have known google has released a new phone, designed by HTC, and runs the new “android” operating system. I think it retails for about 529 dollars *(with no contract) which is similar to the iPhone. (No contract.) Out of all the touch screen phones that have been released, I think this one has the best shot at becoming the ultimate “iPhone killer”. It has a new incredibly fast processor called the snap dragon which runs at a whopping 1 Ghz! I just found this video which really has a great side by side competition between the two, so click to see which one wins!
Which is better: The iphone or Google Nexus One phone?
January 8, 2010The Apple iSlate?
January 8, 2010
The new supposed iSlate is still currently nothing but a rumour. But perhaps not for long, as many think Apple will be announcing this iSlate soon. The iSlate would essentially be a larger iPhone, which I would assume apps would work on. I could see the market for this product in that someone might want more power than an iPhone can offer but not lug around a full size computer. And also the larger screen will enable you to read books. But why not just get one of the new netbooks? I think the price point on this item will be very sensitive. If you set the price to high, people will just buy a netbook because it is basically just a computer with a touchscreen. I think apple needs to be very careful and smart in the marketing of the “slate”. You can see some of the pictures below, but apple has really been setting the bar with their touch screen technology. It is amazing how the app store grew so fast, and how they manage to be setting so many trends in the last that other companies can’t keep up with such as the ipod, iphone, app store, itunes, multi touch technology, and I guess you could say laptop technology as well. I am really a big fan of apple and look forward to this new tablet computer coming out which I’m sure will be a big success! (or will it)
